Excursions

Highly Recommended Tour:

Tour of Palenque de San Basilio

An hour outside of Cartagena, the first ‘free town’ in the Americas. Take a tour of Palenque and learn about the history, music, dance, and culture. Travel and lunch included.

We recommend this Black owned tour company:

Experience Real Cartagena

Statue of Benkos Biohó the man who founded Palenque in 1599. The statue’s right arm is outstretched eastward towards Africa while the left breaks free from the shackles of Slavery
